🖊️ Who We Want
The Kind of Writers We Are Looking For
We are not looking for professional journalists or academic researchers, though they are more than welcome to apply. We are looking for adults who have something genuinely valuable to say about relationships, intimacy, attraction and the emotional complexity of love.
That might mean you have worked in a field related to mental health, sex education, couples therapy or relationship coaching. It might mean you are simply an adult who has lived, reflected and developed real perspective through your own experiences. Both are valid here.
What matters most to us is that your writing is honest, thoughtful and written with respect for the adult readers who will engage with it. This is an 18+ platform. We do not shy away from sensitive or mature topics but we do expect every contributor to handle them with care, accuracy and genuine intent to help.
If that sounds like you, we would love to hear from you.

📋 Our Standards
What Every Submission Must Meet
We hold every piece of content on this site to the same standard, whether it comes from our own team or a guest contributor. Before you pitch or submit, make sure your work meets all of the following.
✅
Original, Unpublished Work Only
Every article submitted to His and Her Secrets must be completely original and must not have been published anywhere else online or offline. We check every submission. Duplicate or spun content will be declined immediately and the contributor will not be considered again.
📏
Minimum 1,200 Words, Maximum 2,500
We do not publish thin content. Every article must be substantive enough to genuinely help or inform the reader. Most of our best-performing pieces fall between 1,400 and 2,000 words. Short fluff pieces and excessively long rambling articles will both be declined.
🔍
Factual Claims Must Be Supportable
If you make a factual or statistical claim in your article, you must be able to back it up. You do not need to include inline citations in the article itself, but we may ask for your sources before publication. Do not invent data or misrepresent research findings.
🛡️
Respectful, Responsible Tone
This site covers sensitive adult topics. Your writing must treat readers with respect, avoid harmful generalisations and never shame, demean or make light of real emotional pain. Content that is gratuitously explicit, offensive without purpose or written purely to shock will not be published.
✍️
Clear, Well-Structured Writing
Your article must be readable, logically structured and free from obvious grammatical errors. We do light editing on accepted pieces but we will not rewrite a poorly drafted article. Write as if your reader is an intelligent adult who deserves your best effort.

Content that promotes manipulation, coercion or psychologically harmful behaviour in relationships. Articles that shame readers, demean any gender or present abusive dynamics as acceptable or desirable will never be published here.
🚀 How to Submit
The Submission Process, Step by Step
We keep the process simple and straightforward. Here is exactly what happens from the moment you reach out to us to the moment your article goes live on the site.
The Submission Process
1
Send us a pitch via our contact page. Include your proposed title, a two to three sentence summary of the article and a brief note about why you are the right person to write it. Do not send a full draft at this stage.
2
We review every pitch and respond within 72 hours. If we are interested, we will invite you to submit the full article. If the topic is not a fit, we will tell you that clearly so you can consider other angles.
3
Submit your full article as a Google Doc with sharing enabled. Include any notes on sources you used and a short author bio of two to three sentences if you would like a byline on the published piece.
4
We review the full article and get back to you within five business days. We may accept it as submitted, request minor edits or, in some cases, decline with brief feedback. We do not ghost contributors.
5
Accepted articles are edited, formatted and scheduled for publication. We will notify you when your piece is live. We do not offer payment for guest contributions at this time, but all published contributors receive a byline and a do-follow backlink to their website or profile.
